The annual Interfaith Community Services Fall Food Drive kicks off October 1, with the goal of stocking ICS Food Banks with essential groceries for individuals and families in need throughout the holiday season. Community members are encouraged to participate by donating non-perishable food at an ICS location or one of the additional public donation sites available through new and expanded partnerships. See the full list of collection sites in this release. The food drive runs through October 31

The Fall Food Drive is the biggest food drive of the year at ICS. In addition to collecting pantry staples to stock the Northwest and Mobile Food Banks, the drive brings in seasonal foods that allow ICS clients to enjoy a special holiday meal with their families.

“For families already stretched thin, putting food on the table can mean making impossible choices between groceries and other basic needs,” says Tom McKinney, CEO of ICS. “The holidays can make that burden even heavier, when families want to celebrate traditions and create meaningful moments together. Food from an ICS Food Bank provides more than essential nourishment—it offers relief, dignity, and the reassurance that no family has to face these challenges alone. That spirit of compassion and community is what makes a real difference, especially when it matters most.”

During the Fall Food Drive, ICS asks for donations of holiday food items such as boxed or bagged stuffing mix, canned vegetables, baking mixes, instant or fresh potatoes and yams, cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom soup, gravy mix or canned gravy, canned fruit, and canned pumpkin. Monetary donations are also being collected at https://icstucson.org/how-you-can-help/donate/ to purchase holiday food items for families in need.

Donations of pantry staples are welcome year-round. The most-needed items include canned meats (tuna, chicken, and Spam), pop-top canned meals like chili and ravioli, canned pasta sauce and pasta, as well as diapers (both child and adult sizes) and wipes.

ICS invites organizations of all kinds—including schools, faith communities, workplaces, clubs, neighborhoods, sports teams, scout troops, and other groups—to participate in the Fall Food Drive by hosting a team drive. Participants can collect food as a team and drop off their group donation at an ICS location or partner site.
